If you have depression and have time, come be my friend and spend some time in the desert of Dubai. Your depression will dissipate.

Watching this video had given me an immense amount of support and hope for the future treatments of depression. I finally got help this last month. I was so stubborn thinking I can fight this illness on my own with excersize and meditation. For me it wasnt enough and I encourage anyone here that suffers from depression to go SEEK HELP. You can get better and there is always a light. You have to fight for that light.

"The Refugee Story" | Amal Hope Through the Treatment of Depression 1 day ago   12:44

Through her own work and life story, Amal is looking at the ‘refugee crisis’. By outlining the differences between migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, she argues that being a refugee is not a choice and hence the world should not be blaming punishing people who are titled as such. In the end, we are all human.

Amal is a campaigner for human rights and social justice in Scotland. Within the Mental Health Foundation, she takes responsibility for the development and delivery of new and innovative projects with asylum seekers and refugees. She has a BA in Community Development and an MSc in Human Rights & International Politics from the University of Glasgow.
