TEDx Talks
There comes a time in everyone's life where they emotionally and physically exhaust themselves. You put so much time into others that you completely forget about yourself. But in reality, that's hurting you more than you think you're helping. Evie's talk is about how she learned to look after herself in those tough times.
Evie, an eighth-grader at Saint Andrew’s School, was first introduced to Ted Talks four years ago. She was fascinated to learn and hear about different experiences. A little over a year ago, her little sister Stella was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Being able to share her experience has helped her through her journey of acceptance. Evie is overjoyed to be able to share her story with a wider circle than her closest peers. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
