Decades ago, a group of idealistic young Sudanese filmmakers launched their careers, but the industry has all but disappeared today.

Their story is told in one of two new documentaries at the Berlin Film Festival that offer a glimpse of Khartoum behind the headlines.

Refugees were a major theme in this year's annual summit, held in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa. But its leaders failed to come up with any concrete plans to help them.
However, they did agree to talks to support Libya's peace process.
Still, some analysts say, that in general, the AU just isn't doing enough.
