Thailand is one of the world's largest exporters of fish. But its fishing industry has faced accusations of human trafficking, slavery and abuse.
Two very different movies at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival are highlighting the problem in an attempt to make us think more about the food we eat.

Al Jazeera's Nadim Baba reports from Berlin.

Thank you for exposing the slavery of the Thai fishing
industry. How can we be effective on having an impact here?

at the end of the day, no one is forcing anyone to find work with the Thai fishing industry. the Cambodians, Bangladeshi and Burmese , etc. know the danger and exploitation they will be exposed to but they still seek these kinds of jobs. all of us have choices to make. if you still want  to work for these types of slave labor, you have no one to blame but yourself.
