Ms Rose Patsy shares her experiences on outreaching the unreachable through extensive research in Sabah. She believes that every children should be given the chance for education. Rosy Patsy Tibok has conducted many studies, published a few academic papers concerning the
outreaches that has been done, and happening all over Sabah for undocumented and stateless
children. Mostly of Indonesian or Philippines origin, they are the children of refugees that migrated
to Sabah. The children of the refugees mostly do not receive citizenship (birth certificate) due to the
lack of documents and can’t even get access to basic human right like education. She also made
studies and evaluations about the alternative education provided to these undocumented and
stateless children. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
