Apollo 11 launched on July 16, 1969, carrying Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins on a journey to pull off humankind’s first moon landing. The eight-day journey was made possible by the careful deconstruction of the Saturn V rocket and Apollo spacecraft, and made use of a technique of docking components of the spacecraft in lunar orbit so the astronauts could land on, and then launch from, the lunar surface.

Am not saying Moon landing is fake but am agreeing with the point who are saying so, i.e, WHY DON'T THEY MAKE ONE MOON LANDING NOW. THERE ARE MANY COUNTRIES INTERESTED TO TAKE PART ON THIS THUS NASA IS NOT SOLELY GOING TAKE THE BURN OF COST. After Armstrong's so called landing, many mission was sent to moon by US of A but why not now ?
LET NASA don't share the technology, let them be the guide for travel am sure SPACE AGENCY OF INDIA, CHINA, EUROPEAN UNION will be happy to take part in it as well as sponsor it too.
They had to burn the service module engine to orbit the moon. Its called trans- lunar injection or TLI. They were going to fast and needed to slow down which was what the burn was for. The moons gravity didn't just capture them nicely and put them into orbit like you made it look in this video. If they didn't do the burn then bye bye moon. It was incredible what they did especially being on the far side for a lot of it having to rely on that computer a computer with around 20,000 times less power than an apple watch. Vox you forgot that part.....
The engine on the service module had to be fired at 3:17 in order to slow down the spacecraft enough to let the Moon's gravity capture it into orbit. Otherwise the Moon would just slingshot the spacecraft back towards the Earth Apollo 13 style.

3:15 Wrong! Gravity doesn't pull anything into orbit. The SPS engine had to be fired for lunar orbit insertion.

They claim the orbiter was travelling at over 3700 miles per hours ( they quote in feet per sec to confuse people ) so the lander slowed from 3500mph to zero and then accelerated back up to 3500 mph again .... Can you see the problem with that !

Today, Earth remains vulnerable to asteroid collisions. In recent history, space rocks have landed in The United States, Russia, and elsewhere. In the event of a potential asteroid collision, NASA has developed several options for dealing with the threat. Researchers at NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies and Jet Propulsion Laboratory have proposed using blunt force, weaponized deflection or a theoretical tool called a gravity tractor to deflect impact. In addition to developing contingency plans, NASA scientists are also searching the sky for future asteroid threats.
